At points in life we all find ourselves stuck and unsure how to move forward within ourselves or in relationships with other people. I can help you work constructively with the parts of yourself that keep you stuck, and unburden extreme or rigid parts of yourself in a way that builds inner trust. This work will naturally reveal your needs, desires, and boundaries and we will work together to help you identify what gets in the way of your honoring and communicating them so that you can. I am invested in therapy being an experience that helps you find agency, clarity, courage, and self-compassion.
Most of my clients have at least some inkling of how their life experiences have contributed to their stuckness. Yet, knowing “what happened” and “why I am the way I am” hasn’t helped them to feel free. I help clients move beyond the mental understanding of what happened into a felt sense of self-leadership and, ultimately, peace.
I use Internal Family Systems to help clients develop habits of listening, caring and supporting themselves. Whether you are dealing with difficult internal patterns, relationship conflict, trauma, or intergenerational dynamics that seem intractable, it is never too late to develop new ways of being and relating that transform suffering into healing.
