I have been in private practice since 1992 working with individuals, parents and couples. Before this I gained experience in a group setting and a psychiatric hospital. Prior to my work as a therapist I was a high school teacher for 17 years.
I have earned a certification in a type of trauma resolution known as EMDR. This training allows me to quickly identify distortions in self perception and work toward correction. In addition I have experience in community support groups for those processing divorce, grieving death, dealing with mental illness in the family and recovery from sexual abuse.
