Through mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other humanistic approaches,I am interested in encouraging individuals to maximize their strengths, helping couples resolve barriers to loving relationships, and helping family become the units that can nurture their members to succeed in this very stressful world. Improving communication, resolving power/control issues and developing assertiveness are all important in resolving interpersonal conflicts. Anxiety and depression are increasingly experienced in today's world. I want to help individuals find ways to beat the odds.
Relaxation, visualization, and mindfulness are assets in dealing with anxiety, depression and daily frustration. Learning to recognize the triggers for distressing emotions and resolving those triggers are important aspects of my work. Guiding individuals to reassess memories and to reassess their concepts of self are often important steps to a more satisfying life.
