I am an African American woman born and raised in Harlem, NY. I currently offer therapy to individuals and families. My background includes many years of working with the underserved populations, helping to create change and strengthen our communities. Sessions with me allow clients to feel supported and respected for who they are. Experience has taught me that safe spaces help to foster healing and allow clients to be open.
In therapy sessions, you will be assisted in creating healthy boundaries in which you can love others but also love yourself and keep yourself safe emotionally. Modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person- Centered Therapy are often utilized to help my clients to overcome their issues and meet their treatment goals.
Together, we will identify triggers, discuss life stressors, and develop coping strategies to assist you with dealing with difficult times in life.
