Daytime Openings! Wow! Sometimes life can throw curveballs that no one saw coming. Planned out routines get flipped, unexpected changes in life circumstances, and overwhelming stress can all create intense emotional responses. And you know what? Life can be downright tough! Changing the way, we respond to struggles will help enhance our psychological flexibility. Sometimes we have to learn to, "Flow with the river, don't fight with the rocks."- Lauren London. Hi, I'm Shannon. I am the owner of Mindful Emotions Counseling, LLC. Our goal is to assist individuals in learning ways to recognize, identify, and acknowledge their emotions.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, with over 15 years experience in the mental health field. I offer my clients a safe space to learn how to process emotions by using Trauma Informed CBT, DBT, ACT, Art Interventions, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Approaches.
Starting the counseling journey can be overwhelming. You may feel many different emotions with this new process. I'm here to help you identify, acknowledge, and determine what will best fit your needs. You are the driver of your life. Let's start this journey together!
