I have worked with a wide array of people. I've had the pleasure of working with individuals with Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injuries, Dementia, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Mood Disorders and Anxiety Disorders. My work has been with people throughout the lifespan, from early childhood concerns, such as behavior problems, to adults of all ages. I work best with clients who would like to make a change in their life, and behavior, but do not have the tools or motivation to do so. We can work together to identify what might be causing issues & how to change those behaviors.
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Doctoral with an MS in Counseling. Behavior therapy means that we will primarily look at what you do, how that works out for you, and how you could act more effectively to shape the life you want. And we'll take data to track your progress and make changes in real time if your goals are not being met.
I truly believe that everyone is doing the best they can in the moment, no matter how that may look to someone on the outside. Most human behavior that causes problems is a matter of someone wanting something very reasonable, but they may not necessarily have all the tools they need to achieve their goals. That's where our work begins.
