My name is Shannon Toy (she/her), M.Ed, LCSW. I prefer to be called by my middle name, Julianne. I graduated with a Master of Education from Concordia University in 2015 and a Masters in Social Work from Simmons University in 2018. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Virginia, Maryland, and Michigan. I work with a wide range of ages and populations including children, adolescents, adults, and families. I also specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ population.
I am a generalist clinician meaning I work with various issues including anxiety, behavioral problems, stress management, trauma, adjusting to change, and mood disorders. However, I have extra training in working with eating disorders and OCD. -I currently only have daytime slots left in my availability-
My counseling style is solutions focused, and strengths based rather than problem focused.
