I work with adults (21+) whose presenting concerns are most often related to anxiety, depression, grief, spirituality, "religious deconstruction," "purity culture," "religious reconstruction," sexuality, and relationships. My guiding therapeutic modalities are attachment-focused and trauma-informed (advanced training in Somatic Experiencing). I am also trained in ACT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (and EFIT), and the Gottman Method for couples. My practice is open to people of every religious tradition and people with no religious affiliation. I welcome married and unmarried couples into couple therapy.
Research indicates the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the client and the therapist is the most significant predictor of successful outcomes in therapy. Accordingly, I prioritize attending to our alliance as I draw from the evidence-based modalities mentioned above.
