Clinical social worker as well as a certified alcohol and drug counselor. Extensive training surrounding trauma and the impact trauma has on our lives. I have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Drawing from my work with Refugees to my work with people struggling with addiction issues.Strengths based and client centered approach. I work with children utilizing child centered play therapy. I have over six years of training in Sandtray World play technique. Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Theraplay.
I am currently contracted through the state of Michigan to assist people or family members of people with Problem Gambling issues. I currently have a second year MSW intern from Michigan State University who is willing to see clients 15 and above probono.
