My name is Servando Trevino, and I am a licensed LMFT. I specialize in relapse prevention, anger management, self-worth, individual, and couple's issues. I use Cognitive Restructuring Behavior modification and an EFT approach. I am direct and don't sugarcoat things but am respectful. My philosophy is that if you are coming to therapy, you want the truth and you want to do something different. Sugar coating and minimizing is not a solution but a coping system of denial. People who want to develop a strong relapse prevention program. Struggle with self-worth, anger management, communication, stress, and relationship issues.
I use CBT- Cognitive restructuring and Behavior modification. CBT helps you explore the role of your core beliefs and behaviors in your interaction with self and others. I also use EFT for couples. Emotional Focus Therapy focuses on helping couples identify the emotional context of communication rather than the verbal/nonverbal content.
I take an objective approach, meaning I don't take sides. I am direct but respectful. If you don't want to be honest with yourself then I am not the person for you. However, if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired and are ready to commit to change and can be honest with yourself. Then I am your guy.
