I specialize in working with teens, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, career issues, and self-esteem issues. I am bilingual and have experience providing counseling sessions in both English and Spanish. My therapeutic style is person-centered, strength-based, and holistic. I am warm, friendly, and authentic, and I like to use humor in my sessions. I believe that clients are the experts of their lives and are capable of self-exploration, growth, and resiliency. I work best with clients between the ages of 15 to 50 years old.
My main approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is based on helping my clients explore behavioral and thinking patterns that are causing anxiety, depression, or any mental health issue. I also enjoy doing talk therapy and holding a safe space for my clients to feel heard and supported.
I believe that creating a strong therapeutic relationship where we both feel safe and heard is essential to getting the most out of therapy. I believe we as humans are all born with strengths and weaknesses. Our weaknesses help us to learn and grow in life. Our strengths allow us to help ourselves and others.
