I understand that many times the human family is in crisis, and that all individuals are capable of and deserve compassion. It is my mission to reach out to families in order to help create and maintain greater love and health in relationships. It is my goal to make my services accessible to the broadest reach of people across race, religion, class, culture, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.

Why should you have a therapist? I believe everyone needs to have someone in their corner, someone who is there to listen and help you through whatever is going on in your life, without judgment or bias. By learning new techniques to cope and communicate, we can work toward making each day the best it can be.

Since 1970 I have walked with many persons, couples and families who need supportive, fresh ears and eyes, a compassionate heart, wise experience and holistic perspective regarding life's challenges, transitions, burdens, growth points and life choices. I learn each one's story is unique and may offer the opportunity for new meaning and purpose. I seek to know and connect with each one I am honored and often blessed to serve at the core of who she or he is and not lose sight of that one's uniqueness midst the presenting depression, anxiety, grief, infidelity, identity clarification, trauma, worry, miscommunication and addiction.

I help my clients find a positive sense of identity and healthy outlets to express that identity. I primarily work with teenagers and their families, and I am especially passionate about helping people with LGBTQIA+ identities, Cluster B Personality Disorders, ADHD, trauma histories, or those experiencing thoughts of self-harm and suicide.

Starting in mid-August I will be adding patients to my Wednesday Schedule. My professional experience has focused mostly on treating individuals suffering from eating disorders as well as individuals struggling with issues associated with obesity. However, I also have considerable experience working with people struggling with anxiety and depression. I enjoy helping people to gain a better understanding of their behaviors and how behaviors impact their emotional and physical health. I treat patients mostly with a cognitive behavioral approach.

I have over 11 years of experience that includes working with psychiatric, social, and environmental issues in the form individual, family, and group therapy treatment. In addition, I assisted coordinating community and state agency resources as needed. I have primarily worked with adolescents, young adults, and families in the capacity of aforementioned mentioned treatment settings. My primary focus is to help individuals and families maintain a stable and balance life.

My practice is influenced by Attachment and Polyvagal theory and I am Level 2 trained in Holographic Memory Resolution Therapy.
