I am a LISW-CP in the state of SC who has 8 years plus of experience providing clinical care services to individuals and couples in a multitude of healthcare and therapeutic environments. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina – Upstate in 2013 and a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina – Columbia in 2016. Moreover, I completed various trainings in trauma, relationship/sexual issues, and depression/anxiety.

As humans we are all susceptible to depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and degraded self care. I opened my practice with the desire to give clients a nonjudgmental, safe and welcoming environment in order to work on overcoming these life obstacles when they interfere with ones happiness and clarity.

I will listen and validate those things that are difficult in your life. I will also help you to see how and why your stress response is perfectly normal, and work with you to find a way forward. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults of all ages who are struggling with a variety of concerns, including insecurities, anxiety, depression, past trauma, relationship conflict, and phase-of-life issues.

I have been in private practice since 2005. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, brief solution therapy, mood disorders, behavior modification, anxiety, personality disorders, grief & loss, addiction, postpartum issues, & divorce/blended families.

Dr. Lockard was awarded her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her internship at the Kentucky Department of Corrections where she focused on the treatment of male and female sex offender treatment. Her experience includes years of forensic and clinical treatment and evaluation in out-patient, in-patient, and correctional settings. Such experiences include: Community Mental Health Clinics, Autism Clinics, County and Psychiatric Hospitals, and state behavioral and social services agencies. Her areas of expertise (all bilingual) include: clinical, criminal forensic, psychosexual, and neuropsychological assessment and treatment.

If someone puts forth the willingness and motivation to work with me I will reciprocate that effort, because I want people to reach their full potential and enhance their quality of life.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to learn and grow and heal. I work with clients ages 16 and older.

The majority of my work consists of helping clients with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, conflict, and life and career transitions.
