The ideal client who would reach out for my services comes from various backgrounds and situations, but tends to be those who are at a point in life where they feel stuck and are searching for someone to aid them with support and goal setting. This ranges from those who are struggling with a child at home, to children and adults on the autism spectrum, and those who need court mandated services. I have biblical insight that can provide a faith based perspective if and when that is desired. Being a specialist for 17+ years in treating OCD and Anxiety Disorders, and Scrupulosity OCD, my goal for my client is to provide the best possible up to date treatment while my practice is a place that provides safe and confidential services with a person-centered approach. Skill based treatment is important and coping skills are provided to help my client have methods and tools to improve outcomes in their lives. It is important when possible to also offer family counseling to help families understand their loved one with their struggles concerning anxiety and OCD. This leads to a successful outcome with a better quality of life.

Life is full of ups and downs, little and big crises, and at times can be confusing and overwhelming. However, within these struggles there is hope, light and room for growth. My own life journey has led me to the counseling field and helped me find my passion. Jill Bedell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of South Carolina. She received her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Dowling College in New York. Ms. Bedell has over five years of counseling experience working in various settings with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 10 years of experience working with children, families, groups, and adults. I earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Studio Art from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. I have experience working with military families and also the LGBQT community. I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. My goal is to help clients develop adaptive coping skills, and improve their quality of life by helping them feel empowered, understood and accepted.

My ideal client is one who is a lifelong learner. He or she explores the world with curiosity and humor seeking to make that difference in life which helps him or her turn difficult corners and experience satisfaction.
