Truth be told! Now more than ever we need to talk. Process thoughts, feelings and every emotion under the sun. Wherever we are on the journey of life, we need to express self and work though sometimes tough terrain. We are from all walks of life, we are professionals seeking licensure, certification, we are homemakers with children, we are struggling with sobriety, we are angry and need a safe place to experience change. You desire support not judgement. You are ready for change.

I am dedicated to helping individuals & couples make a positive change in their lives.
My ideal client is someone who needs help making the transition to a more positive life. This could be helping a young person make the transition into fully independent adulthood or a couple transition into a more loving and mutually respectful relationship. I can help clients with anger, anxiety, depression and self esteem issues. I tailor my approach to therapy for the individual client, drawing from many different therapeutic disciplines. I am most comfortable with REBT/CBT, but I sometimes use some Narrative, and Solution Focused techniques. Whatever works best to help the client make a positive change in their life.

We can also help you find a new way to be in your family, with your kids, your parents, your partners and roommates in an ever-changing dynamic.
As an agency we have been supporting people via online sessions, with everything that falls “outside the box”. If you are encountering relationship problems, you may have found that it is easier to procrastinate rather than to seek the relationship advice and tools that you need. You may have even been waiting to seek consulting or coaching services for years. Meanwhile your relationship difficulties have only been getting worse. Our consulting services are designed to help you communicate better and make sustainable changes that will benefit you and your family throughout your lives to come back to loving one another.

We can also help you manage symptoms creating distress, whether it be depression, anxiety, trauma or relationship problems.
You probably can't remember how long ago you started going through the motions. Just surviving each day, not thriving and living the life God intended for you. You can't quite remember when things started to get off track. But, you can probably remember a time when you were really happy, loving life and had dreams you couldn't wait to see come true. But life happens; children, careers and just about everything takes priority over what's most important.

Trust is key to being able to achieve any goal and I strive to build that relationship to help clients explore their needs and wants in a safe environment.
I believe that everyone has “baggage” but learning how to overcome difficult situations and emotions is empowering. Seeking therapy is scary however as a therapist I can help assist you in managing life’s challenges and strive to be the best version of yourself.

Wondering how your life and relationship have gotten so far off track? Do you spend more time remembering when things were great than looking forward to all you have yet to gain? If you have lost sight of who you are, I hope to help you get a fresh vision. Together, we can manage the many barriers, challenges, changes and stressors that life brings by accepting and forgiving your past, and developing an individualized plan for your future. It is easy to lose sight of your path when darkness surrounds. Together we can find some light to begin again.

I try to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment where LGBTQIA+ people and their allies may deal with relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, stress in general, and LGBTQ+ concerns.
People often want to see positive change in their lives, but it's sometimes difficult to do it alone. Life can often take unexpected twists, and we need help figuring out where to go from there. Allow me to help guide you toward well-being.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
