I work with children, teens, adults, and their families to help each person feel more confident, healthier, and more empowered. I am able to work with a variety of disorders ranging from, but not limited to, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, and Trauma. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and evidenced based practices are the main types of therapy used but each individual's therapy is tailored to their specific needs. My goal is to work with the individual and family to help them gain the skills needed to no longer have a need for therapy.

My name is Dominic Simon, LISW-CP. I specialize in psychoanalysis, CBT, Solution-Focus and Motivational Interviewing. My target population are those with issues related to Grief & Loss, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and Self-determination issues.

We all have parts of ourselves that we want to deny, run away from, or just ignore. Hello and welcome to my page! I offer individual counseling for adolescent and adults ranging ages 14 and older. I have experience providing treatment to vast range of mental health and life stressors such as anxiety, depression, trauma, coping issues, grief, work and life challenges, ADHD, woman issues, etc.

I have 7 years of experience as a social worker, and 3 years of experience as a mental health therapist. My primary passion is women's mental health, specifically perinatal mental health, which I am currently taking courses to become certified in. I work with people who have experienced infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, and post-partum mood disorders. Becoming and being a mom can be hard, but you do not have to do it alone.

Life sometimes has unexpected events that you may need help navigating. I am honored to walk with you along your journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NC), Licensed Professional Counselor (SC), a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA), and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated from Montreat College, in Charlotte with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have over 10 years experience working with adolescents, adults, & abused/neglected children. I was also the liaison for Union County Department of Social Services and the FBI in regards to Human Trafficking.

Our definition of recovery is working towards our truest and highest self, not just working towards abstinence. We are trauma specialists in active recovery and focus on healing trauma while reinstating a sense of self. We believe that if you do the hard work, and you keep coming back, you will get better. Our therapists are relationship experts in developing the roadmap to other relationships through self.

Therapy is a personal exploration that may lead to major changes in life perspectives and decisions. My role as a therapist is to assist you through your personal journey of discovery and achieve the best possible results of you.
