Are you facing the heartbreaking reality of infertility? Do you find yourself overwhelmed with distress and a profound sense of loss? The emotional toll of fertility struggles can seep into every aspect of life, leading to feelings of isolation, frustration, and sadness. Navigating these challenges, along with other women’s issues, can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and those around you. It’s not uncommon to feel like you’re carrying this heavy burden alone, but you don’t have to face it on your own.

I also offer client-centered therapy services for those dealing with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, as well as enrichment counseling for girls/adolescents aged 12-25 to promote self-discovery and investment of mental & emotional wellness.
Life is a journey full of joy, disappointment, fear, courage, unexpected blessings and unplanned circumstance. We encounter barriers that appear to block our dreams from reality and challenges that make us feel unworthy and incapable of ever achieving success. The purpose of the journey, however, is to GROW through every adversity and every triumph and flourish. My ideal client seeks to be empowered through their growth process to achieve clarity, self-awareness and self-development. Although growth can be painful, the goal is to thrive after the breakthrough and to allow the transformation to better themselves and others.

Throughout our lives we collect memories and experiences and sometimes we just need space; space to breathe, process, exist - let's see what we can do with the space provided for you. Someone who would come to see me might be experiencing transitional periods, anxiety, relationship conflicts, grief, or trying to reconnect and understand themselves more. For whatever reason you are seeking out therapy, I hope you find a therapist who helps you when you are ready.

Feeling lost and overwhelmed by all the decisions and choices you are faced with daily can be stressful and exhausting, and stress can be magnified by the constant changes everyone experiences. These changes in relationships, your roles in school or workplace, family situations, and demands from others can all make you feel anxious, depressed...helpless. The isolation and loneliness we experienced during the pandemic did not evaporate when the crisis was contained, and now we are forced to cope new stressors. Depression, anxiety, increased substance use have been noted. But help & healing are available .

Life isn't an easy journey for anyone; whether we haven't realized that we need the extra support or we have realized it and just don't know where to start or who to turn to. I like to think of therapy as that first step of knowing where to start and who to turn to. Therapy is more than just about venting, but also about overcoming struggles and making the conscious decision and effort to move in a positive direction in life; no matter the circumstances.

Despite mental health becoming less stigmatizing over recent years, the fact remains that most are still uncomfortable discussing this area of their life. Yet, at some point, we all experience adverse emotional responses. The reasons for this may differ- a trauma, a health crisis, a painful childhood, or even a difficult transition. Life events such as these, coupled with our genetic predisposition and environment, often leave us feeling alone, confused, and stuck. My mission is to help people find their strength to get on their feet, find their path, and even thrive in a new way moving forward.

Let's face it - life is challenging. Taking the first step to reach out and ask for help can be difficult. When we struggle with mental health, relational issues and/or substance use/misuse, it is easy to feel inadequate and wonder if things will ever get better. Although you may have found yourself in patterns that you do not like, you have the power to change them. You have strengths to help you create a life inspired by what's most important to you and deal with life’s challenges in a more effective way.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
