Mrs. Theresa Sloan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in South Carolina. She received her Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of South Carolina and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. Mrs. Sloan has also earned Board Certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the SC Association of Licensed Professional Counselors.

Our approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, mindfulness, play therapy, rational-emotive therapy and EMDR, eye movement desensitation and reprocessing. EMDR can relieve these depressive symptoms and help reframe negative beliefs, resolve unprocessed trauma and adverse experiences, improve energy and mood, and create a more positive understanding of the self and others.

Hello, I am Jim Bennett ,Counselor. I have compassionately worked with families, couples, individuals, teens and groups for over 29 years. I have worked with these clients in a private practice setting and in an addictions treatment center setting. I have accomplished Masters Degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology. I studied both disciplines to equip myself for assessment as well as treatment . I became a counselor to help teens navigate their way into adulthood. I quickly found that the family is where it all starts. Therefore, I focused on family/marriage counseling. From there I branched into addiction counseling.
