Eveyone should be able to live a life that leaves them excited to wake up every morning. One of the bravest things anyone can do is begin to understand their story and find their purpose. My door is open for those who need someone to really hear them and point them in the right direction.

I believe the most important story you will ever hear that will impact your life is the one you continually tell and believe about yourself. My goal as your therapist is to help individuals, couples and families take the necessary steps needed to heal via helping them re-author their story. The work I do with people involves helping them heal through facing their hard truths. Through my experience with personal hardships and what society would see as failures, I have come to the realization that perfection is an illusion and a more realistic obtainable goal is to strive for excellence – meaning continually trying to do your best.

I specialize in working with individual clients over the age of 13 who present with anxiety disorders such as OCD, agoraphobia, and social anxiety, as well as issues related to negative core beliefs such as trauma and low self-esteem. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to treat OCD and other anxiety disorders, as well as CBT, ACT, and EMDR as applicable to treatment goals. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and I am here to help you learn new tools, challenge you, and support you.

I have a B.S. in counseling, and I am in my final year of grad school where I am earning hours towards a Marriage and Family Therapy M.S. and licensure. I am interning at Universal Therapeutic Services working under supervisor Teresa Thompson, LPC-S. As a child counselor, I create a space and build a relationship with your child that allows them to feel safe, organize experiences, and build skills to help your child thrive. I believe that every child has the ability to heal, solve problems, and develop a positive self-concept. I also believe that parents/caregivers are the most important part of the counseling process as they are the most important relationship in the child's life. I collaborate with parents/caregivers to create strategies to better connect with and support their child.

Life is often unpredictable and challenging, I believe that we all do the best we can with what we have at the time. Sometimes, the survival mechanisms and belief systems that protect us in childhood or in a challenging season of life no longer serve us well. My passion as a therapist is to help my clients recognize their self-worth and reclaim their authentic selves.
