After I retired from the Air Force, I was on a mission trip and became passionate about helping people to grow and become the best version of themself. I pursued and earned my master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. Navigating through life can be challenging and sometimes you need help. My ideal client is someone who needs help making the transition to a more positive life. This could be helping a young person make the transition into fully independent adulthood or a couple transition into a more loving and mutually respectful relationship. I can help clients with anger, anxiety, depression and self esteem issues. I tailor my approach to therapy for the individual client, drawing from many different therapeutic disciplines. I am most comfortable with REBT/CBT, but I sometimes use some Narrative, and Solution Focused techniques. Whatever works best to help the client make a positive change in their life.

I provide individual, couples, and family counseling to adults and adolescents. Working from a cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and interpersonal approach, my goal is to assist individuals identify, and change maladaptive life patterns (thoughts and/or behaviors), by developing a more balanced approach to their surroundings. I assist in developing more satisfying relationships to improve one's ability to better manage stress. I am a military veteran who connects very well with the veteran community, for I truly understand the military culture.

I am honored to be of service to you. I know that trauma and substance abuse and addiction can wreak havoc in one's life. Many of client's find themselves faced with challenges of having to restart their lives during mental challenges and addiction; some may have to fight to regain custody of their children; many of them have co-occurring mental illness that has lead to substance abuse and/or addiction. For some, addiction comes by way of biological, environmental, and social influences, but from my experience, I have learned that mental illness was present before addiction became a factor. My ideal client lives in Georgia or South Carolina and needs a mental health evaluation, psychological evaluation, immigration evaluation, brief therapy, or brief life coaching. My client may need an assessment for court due to legal charges, for divorce litigation, or for administrative immigration proceedings. I provide evaluations and life coaching via private pay. For my therapy clients, I accept Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oscar Health, Oxford insurances. All services are provided via telehealth.
