We all develop strategies that assist us in surviving the world around us. We internalize messages that we have received from others that we are not good enough, smart enough, or don’t deserve to have our boundaries respected. In therapy, one can use this space to identify messages that they have internalized and challenge them to develop different relationships with ourselves and our own self-worth. Therapy can be a space where we can process experiences that we have endured and how they continue to shape ways we relate in the present day.
It is my goal to be able to both empathically hold experiences that one may have, while also being a mirror to reflect how patterns may possibly be impacting that individual in their daily life using trauma-informed practices. I believe that it is important to both process experiences, while regaining power and autonomy over the impact of said experiences.
Currently I am seeing people 14+. I am capable of both in-person and virtual visits while providing weekend hours. I am currently able to see both couples and individuals.
