I approach my counseling with a belief that all children and young people have the potential to make positive change for themselves and for the world around them. I adapt my therapeutic approach to the client but often utilize strength-based counseling, positive talk therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to encourage personal growth while I coach and help guide the way. I believe counseling has the power to change the direction of your life, by developing techniques, skills, and perspective that builds confidence and creates social emotional growth that lasts a lifetime.
With perseverance, kindness, and patience I create an environment where clients can feel safe to learn, explore and grow intellectually and emotionally. You can expect a counseling relationship that you lead with unconditional support to help you learn, grow in confidence, confront challenges, and explore choices that move you forward to achieve your goals.
My work is fun and colorful with books, activities and movement. I work in partnership with families and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support for the whole family system. As a Mom and a Counselor it’s my passion to work with children, teens, and young adults to help them manage the stresses in their lives and make each day a little easier.
