Making the choice to enter a therapeutic relationship is not one to take lightly. I provide a relaxed, collaborative and non-judgmental atmosphere. I take into account that everyone is different and have different goals they want to achieve. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, mood/personality disorders, depression, life transitions, or relationship issues, we will work together to gain insight on underlying beliefs and experiences that may be contributing to your distress. You will leave your sessions feeling empowered, supported, encouraged, and equipped to create the change you want.
I believe counseling is not a one size fits all. I customize my approach with each client to what is best suited for you at any specific moment. The back-bone to my approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with Mindfulness practice. I also utilize Trauma Focused Therapy. I have worked in crisis stabilization, inpatient and outpatient settings.
It is important for those who are reaching out for help to feel comfortable in their therapeutic relationship. Your experience and who you are is unique and therefor my counseling style will be tailored to your exact needs. I want my clients to feel safe and excited to come to their sessions.
