I am passionate about helping people heal, grow, and thrive, by working through trauma, improving communication, and identifying and achieving goals. I understand that seeking therapy can be daunting, but there is hope. Whether you are experiencing relationship issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief/loss, larger existential exploration or questions of identity, you don't have to work through it alone. In addition to therapy, I also provide clinical supervision to those seeking their LPC and LCSW.
I understand the need for emotional safety and trustworthiness in a therapist, working with clients to regain a sense of empowerment in their lives. My style is eclectic, but my work is trauma informed, using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients stop fighting against the pain of their past, and build rich and meaningful lives.
I believe every person holds the capacity for change, and can benefit from a trusting, supportive therapist to help them acknowledge and ignite that ability within themselves. I consider the clients as the experts in their lives, and trust that a positive client/therapist relationship is key to facilitating change.
