I believe the foundation for successful therapy lies in a supportive, non-judgmental and empathic therapeutic relationship through which one can explore and understand relationship dynamics, emotional themes, and maladaptive behaviors and thought patterns with the goal of increasing self-awareness and creating a fuller, happier life. I approach therapy from a positive perspective and try to harness each individuals strengths to build skills and create change.
I provide short and long-term therapy to individuals and couples struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and adjustment difficulties, health issues and work/school related stress. therapy incorporates mindfulness, cognitive behavioral methods, and psychodynamic/relational theories. Therapy is not a one-fit all approach and treatment is tailored to individual's personality and needs.
My extensive training enables me to work with adolescents and adults in individual, couples and family therapy modalities.
