I provide a safe and supportive place to explore and heal the roots of my clients' struggles. I view counseling as a transformational process that enables clients to heal from past wounds and experiences in order to better connect with themselves, others, and God. Working from an attachment perspective, I enjoy helping my clients work through challenging personal and spiritual issues, life transitions, relationship difficulties, wounds from childhood, trauma and anxiety/stress. I believe that ultimately it is God's healing presence in the midst of this process that brings hope, freedom and restoration.
My therapeutic approach varies based on my client's needs. I have completed advanced training in the healing of traumatic stress and enjoy working with clients to heal past wounds that impact their current functioning. I enjoy integrating faith issues as a part of this process if my client desires.
I love to work collaboratively with my clients from a posture of safety, curiosity and support to discover solutions and develop insight that brings healing and wholeness. With couples, my focus is on helping them to find emotional safety and connection with each other. I have been married to my husband for 33 years and have three grown children.
