Effective therapy depends on a match between the client and therapist. Our first goal in therapy is to determine if the relationship is a good fit. Pay attention to your comfort level, with me. When you work with me, everything that comes up is important. You may know what issues you want to work on, or you may not. Maybe there is someone or something you have been meaning to grieve. Therapy is not always about fixing or changing anything.
Therapy will be based on your needs, as you are the expert of your own life. I will approach you with curiosity. I will work beside you as things emerge in a nonjudgmental and confidential space. I do not make interpretations or assumptions on your behalf. Instead, you and I will sort through things together.
I work creatively by offering experiments to increase awareness and illuminate your sense of freedom and choice. I approach therapy holistically, which means I'm interested in all aspects of your life experience.
