Using a warm, casual, active style, I help clients who are struggling with a wide variety of issues find their own way toward growth and health. In a world that typically looks at the surface, I will work with you to look at the deeper parts of yourself and your life so that you can make lasting change that moves you toward your goals. Although our past experiences have helped us shape who we are, they do not need to hold us captive; I help you focus on what is working now and how we can make it better. I primarily work from a somatic lens, helping you tune into your body's wisdom and healing.
I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma and difficult experiences. In an affirming way, I help people move through the trauma in a non-invasive manner, to clear the way for their true selves to emerge. I also work extensively with people who identify outside the heteronormative binary. I affirm all gender and sexual orientations.
I don't believe in a "one size fits all" therapy approach. I work from collaboration and collegiality, and am active in therapy without being directive. I begin by getting to know you in whatever way is comfortable for you, and together we find a direction to begin work. No two clients will work the same way; therapy is an evolving, in-the-moment process.
