You are not the problems you are dealing with. The fundamental belief that guides my practice as a psychotherapist is that all of us are worthy, lovable and creative beings capable of thriving and sustaining meaningful relationships. But there are times when we may lose sight of that. Perhaps you have been harboring feelings of inadequacy your whole life. In either instance, I can help reacquaint you with your strength and purpose, and innate worthiness.
I acknowledge the weight of systemic racism, sexism, homophobia and all other oppressions, and their tremendous impact on mental health. I believe that healing and liberation can take place when we acknowledge oppression and see our true selves as separate from it. I strive to do this in my practice.
I work with individuals, couples and families. I particularly enjoy working with teens and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, eating disorders and trauma. I have extensive experience in trauma-informed care. As a registered art therapist, I offer an alternative language for people in moments when words do not suffice.
