People start therapy for different reasons. Sometimes people come in to see me during a period of transition - starting or ending school or work, moving to a new city, beginning or leaving a relationship. You might feel something isn't quite working in your life, like you're frustrated, uncertain, or slightly out of step. Maybe you feel yourself hitting the same walls in friendships or relationships repeatedly. Maybe you feel lost. I'll work with you to help you find what's getting in the way of getting what you really want from your life and to find a way forward that feels right to you.
To me, therapy is a space to help us work out what's holding you back and how to help you move forward. Often that involves examining patterns of acting and reacting that you may not be fully aware of. I use an integrative holistic approach to provide therapy that fits you and meets your needs as a whole individual instead of a collection of symptoms.
A passion of mine is working with individuals whose gender identities (queer, non-conforming, non-binary, trans) or sexuality (kink/BDSM, CNM/polyam) may be misunderstood. Whether or not that's why you're coming in, I offer acceptance and competence in these areas you may not have found elsewhere, and provide an open space to support exploration and growth.
