I am a licensed psychologist, specializing in child, adolescent, and family services. I enjoy working with youth of all ages and have expertise with difficult behaviors of early childhood (e.g., tantrums, aggression, defiance, sleeping difficulties, school refusal) and treatment of anxiety, OCD, and ADHD.
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment built on the theory that one's thoughts, behaviors, and feelings are connected and influence each other. With a developmentally tailored and skills-based approach, I teach youth to develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving, which helps reduce psychological distress.
Role-playing in session and practice activities are introduced to help reinforce the ideas presented. Youth and parents take an active role in treatment, and participate in out of session home exercises, as this helps create meaningful and sustained improvements in functioning.
