I have special training in helping children and parents draw upon their strengths to change unhelpful patterns of thinking and acting. Children enjoy the play-based techniques I use to engage them in therapy. I incorporate my training in Mindful Self-Compassion to help clients learn effective coping skills and ways to relate kindly to themselves and others.

Self-Compassion for Children & Parents/Caregivers
We all hope for our children to meet the challenges of life with resilience and inner strength. This 6-week parents-child class will help kids ages 7-11 develop resilience skills, including self-compassion, to manage ups and downs. Studies have shown self-compassion is associated with lower levels of depression and anxiety, improved coping skills, and improved emotional well-being for parents and children. This fun live-online class incorporates playful activities to help children recognize their emotions, soothe themselves, and develop a kind inner voice that will help them do hard things without being hard on themselves.
