Welcome to my Psychology Today profile! My name is Ms. Sarah G. I received my graduate degree, a Master of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. I decided to further my educational journey and return to post-graduate school in 2017. I received the Mental Health credentials and requirements for the LPC/CCTS. I have been in the mental health field for 10-plus years in all capacities: Federal and state level, inpatient, residential, and private practice. I still believe in expanding my clinical therapy skills to meet the needs of my clients. I would be honored to become your clinical therapist.
I specialize in CBT/MI and Trauma-Informed/Specialist. I have my certification in EMDR techniques and processing. My primary focus is client-centered, with a hint of Humanistic and Mindfulness approaches/methods. Let's talk about this: you can have the best diet and work out, but if you can't work on the mind, then they become disconnected.
My treatment approach meets the needs of everyone. I do not want a traditional therapy setting; I want to do it differently. I want to create a safe and provide the ability to enhance awareness, and cultivate a connection to empower yourself. I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental environment with a no-nonsense approach.
