As a therapist I believe that we are all doing the best we can with what we have. When we are struggling to be the best version of ourselves, or when we don’t even know what that could be, therapy helps fill the gap. In therapy I will help you discover and overcome the barriers between you and the life you want. I work with adults, couples and teens who are curious and motivated for change. I love working with parents and families, where my work is influenced by Dr. Becky Kennedy, and those in life’s transitions, like emerging adulthood and divorce. I am LGBTQIA+ affirmative and can provide support letters for gender affirming care.
I am client-centered, meaning I’ll get creative to support your growth, potentially incorporating art, music, nature, movement, humor and/or bibliotherapy. I have advanced training in EMDR, TF-CBT, Perinatal Mental Health, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), The Gottman Method for couples, and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk’s The Body Keeps The Score.
If you are interested in improving relationships and communication, decreasing stress, and becoming a more authentic version of yourself I am here for you. When not in session I love spending time with my elementary-age kids, concerts, seeking sunshine outside, and listening to podcasts while I try to make something new for dinner.
