Hello, my name is Sarah Bowlby. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2020 with my master’s in social work. I began my career specializing in helping individuals that struggle with addiction and other substance use disorders. I approach substance use from a harm reduction perspective, which supports the person’s right to choose the nature of their recovery. I also have extensive experience with crisis intervention through Community Mental Health.
Also, I have experience working with diverse populations, including those working through trauma, substance use issues/addiction, depression, anxieties, ADHD, self-esteem, family dynamics, grief/loss, and life-changing events.
My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for any individual to explore their unique challenges and make progress towards creating what they feel is a healthy and satisfying life. I consider that one approach does not fit all, and utilize different techniques in therapy based on my client’s individual needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
