I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 13 years of experience working with individuals suffering from substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and various other challenges that life can often present us with. While my training includes many therapeutic approaches informed by research, I see therapy most of all as a process that unfolds with building a genuine relationship. I believe each individual has a deeper wisdom within themselves. Therapy can be a way to tap into one's personal wisdom, strength, and healing. My approach is warm, inviting, and collaborative.
I focus on helping clients better understand how past experiences, core beliefs, emotions, and interpersonal patterns may be contributing to and maintaining their distress and suffering.
Through awareness building in the context of a non-judgmental and unconditionally accepting therapeutic relationship, clients can develop healthier ways of coping, learn new ways of relating to others in their lives, develop skills, and experience deeper connection, acceptance, and respect for themselves and their emotions.
