I specialize in working with young adults and teens. I have always enjoyed working with this age group. Being a teenager is such an important time of one’s life and there are so many decisions to made. I have worked with young men and women for the last seven years and love the opportunity to walk along their journey with them. During your teen and young adult years there are so many pressures: relationships, friendships, school, parents, your future, social pressures at school, exposure to substances, and figuring out who you want to be. I truly enjoy being part of the process when a young person finds themself.
I take a person centered and solution focused approach. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). You may not have been responsible for the things that have happened in your life.
