I love working with a variety of backgrounds and ages and providing a space that is warm, open and validating. I have a particular passion for working with those who are dealing with the effects of childhood trauma, whether that be emotional, verbal, physical or sexual abuse. Painful relationships can often be the place that many of our symptoms or unhealthy behaviors stem from. It's my desire to walk alongside those who want to bring healing to this area of their life and experience a deeper sense of safety within themselves and within their relationships.
My primary treatment is a neurological and somatic therapy technique called Brainspotting. This modality helps clients access stored trauma, or stored emotions and beliefs within the brain, and then release it from the body. It doesn't need to take years of therapy for people to experience freedom from their past or present suffering.
