Hi there! I’m Dr. Sara Velez, and I’m here to support you on your path to wellness. I work with a variety of challenges, including those faced by active-duty military members and veterans. If you’re dealing with anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, grief and loss, life transitions, or coping with physical injuries, I’m here to help. I also provide support for pre-surgical evaluations and assist in navigating the complexities of spirituality and religion. I welcome you to share your frustrations or explore deeper questions about life, spirituality, or your beliefs. I believe everyone’s journey is unique.
My office is a peaceful space where you can explore your concerns, connect within, and discover what brings meaning to your life—no matter your background. Using a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, we’ll work together to help you reconnect strengths and achieve your goals.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me exploring the outdoors, practicing yoga, or enjoying time with family and friends. I’m dedicated to my own self-care and growth, which I believe are essential to being the best therapist I can be for you.
