The stressors of life often catch up with us when least expected, especially in the wake of the pandemic and the ways in which it has changed our lives. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you on your journey to improve the balance of life, offering support and a feeling of connection. We wear many hats as we make our way through life including parent, child, sibling, spouse, caretaker, friend, worker, etc. As a therapist with lived experience in all those roles, I want to meet you where you’re at with therapy that fits your needs and helps you meet your goals.
My primary areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief, with specific trainings in EMDR and grief counseling. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, so we build a treatment plan together based off where you are now, your needs, and your goals. I typically work with teens and adults to help guide productive work towards what you seek.
I approach therapy from a strengths perspective as I work with people to build resilience, promote self-determination, and learn effective coping skills.
