I am very passionate about helping others heal their relationship with food and their bodies. As a person in a larger body, I have both professional and lived experience that allows me to meaningfully connect with those in similar circumstances. With a deep understanding of the complex interplay between mental health, body image, and societal pressures, I approach my work with empathy, expertise, and a commitment to empower my clients. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES) and body neutrality.
I firmly believe that all bodies deserve respect and care, regardless of size, shape, or weight. I seek to dismantle harmful diet culture narratives and promote body acceptance, self-compassion, and holistic well-being. I employ evidence-based interventions to help clients challenge negative thought patterns and cultivate a more positive body image.
My sessions typically include time to implement evidence-based interventions and explore how cultural ideas around food and body image impact mental health. Often, we will discuss activities to complete between sessions in order to enhance what was learned or discussed. This includes podcasts, short articles, videos, worksheets, or journaling assignments.
