After receiving my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Louisville and obtaining a certification on executive leadership strategy for violence and abuse prevention from the University of Pennsylvania, I moved to Vancouver in June 2021. I spent ten years working in various nonprofits and community organizations’ before going to graduate school. My professional background involves working with both teens and adults on their mental health challenges. My areas of expertise include working heavily with trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, grief, chronic illness and LGBTQ+ issues.
My experience has equipped me to work with clients facing a wide range of challenges including PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-harm/self-injurious behavior, suicidal ideation, attachment issues, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, phobias and more.
Our relationship is one between two equals. You are the expert of your own life. I support you, in whatever you choose for yourself. I will never lie and tell you that life will be perfect one day. No life is perfect (including mine!), but it CAN get better. I'm happy to provide sliding scale fees for clients who cannot afford my hourly rate.
