Hi my name is Sara Darling and I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Louisiana and Alabama. I consider myself a supportive and empathetic therapist and provide clients with a safe space to be vulnerable. I don't believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy. A combination of approaches often works best. Mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy and motivational interviewing are modalities that I use depending on what resonates with my client.
Most of my clients are experiencing anxiety, depression or grief. Sometimes my clients just need help navigating difficult situations; a break up, a new job, pressures at work or in school or a lack of purpose and meaning in life.
My approach is one of caring, empathy and kindness. I always strive to be open and honest with clients and encourage them to be the same with me. I'm not the expert but instead a guide.
