What could your life look like six months from now if you took a step toward healing today? Often, the hardest part is just starting. Depression, anxiety, grief, shame, and a number of other treatable concerns can leave you in a hopeless place. Are friends/family at a loss of how to help you? Are you struggling with a recent change in your life? Do you feel alone? If you remember nothing else, I want you to remember that you are more capable than you believe, and even a speck of hope is still hope.
My role as a Counselor is to provide talk therapy to help you identify your strengths. I practice from both Cognitive-Behavioral and Person-Centered approaches which value the goals you choose, while helping you adopt more healthy patterns of thinking/behavior. I'm available if you're in a desperate place, or just need a place to vent/laugh about life.
Why ‘It Matters Counseling’? I’ve heard countless times that a person is worried that their struggle isn’t serious enough, or they feel silly or selfish. In my office, if it matters to you, it matters to me. My hope is that it will be a safe place for the struggles that matter to you to get the time and attention they deserve. I'm ready if you are.
