I see psychotherapy as a way to alleviate emotional pain and to help you live a more expansive, satisfying and meaningful life. Central to the work of psychotherapy is a collaborative and safe working relationship. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental and unique relationship with each person. I have an interactive style, listening closely, asking questions and sharing my observations while also creating the space for quiet reflection.
My work is informed by my training in relational psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, couples therapy and somatic experiencing. I have helped people struggling with anxiety, depression, family and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma, dissociation and loss. Many of my clients are members of the LGBTQ community.
In addition to my clinical work, I present at conferences, write and publish in the field. I am on faculty at several postgraduate training programs including the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, the Stephen Mitchell Relational Studies Center and the National Institute for the Psychotherapies.
