In my time working with DCFS, I have gained experience working with families that have been impacted by abuse or neglect, substance abuse, mental illness, and domestic violence. I have also worked with couples to reaffirm and strengthen relationships providing any necessary resources available to them. I believe in utilizing the bond between animals and human connection to heal their deepest traumas in the form of Equine Therapy. I also utilize my horses and animals as the self-care part of my life.
My equine-focused philosophy would be to help you as individuals process your life events or journey through connections that you can make with horses. This can allow for a more calming environment to facilitate trust and build a therapeutic relationship.
