So many things in life happen to us that are beyond our control. I believe there are emotional tools out there to help us navigate what has happened in our past, how to respond to the present and how to be successful, happy and achieve our goals in the future. I offer trauma-informed care and have experience working with couples, families, individuals, sexual assault victims, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, crisis management, PTSD and suicidal and homicidal ideation. When working wit couples I use EFT: Emotionally focused therapy helps people understand their attachments to others to improve their relationships.
I am trained in evidenced-based modalities: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also use mindfulness and other somatic psychotherapies to identify negative thoughts and cycles.
I believe each person has the ability and capacity for growth and self-actualization with the right help. My goal is to help give you those tools needed to be able to navigate successfully through all the challenges life may throw at us. All people are welcomed and celebrated here.
