Art therapy is an integrative mental health profession that combines the visual and verbal to help people foster insight, experience healing, and create meaningful change. Art therapy is not reserved for professional artists; but is accessible to meet you where ever you are at. Art is an extension of yourself, and a powerful way to communicate when sometimes the words just are not there.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist. While I often encourage my clients to trust the process and try new techniques; I understand it is not for everyone and so I offer talk therapy as well. My approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based with a focus on helping clients find that they are capable and connected.
Finding strength amidst challenge alone is difficult. You don't have to go through it alone. It's my goal to help you or your child find the inner strength necessary to overcome life's obstacles.
