I specialize in working with athletes in performance enhancement and sports injury recovery including traumatic brain injury. Much of sports performance and injury recovery is mental. I utilize a neuroscience deep brain-based therapy called Brainspotting. This model helps athletes access the areas of the brain that are causing these dysregulating behaviors.
Traditional sports therapy such as CBT does not access the deeper regions of the brain which is an area of the brain that is crucial in trauma recovery and in performance mode. Brainspotting has helped several Olympic athletes better perform and recover.
