Overall, I consider therapy to be a beginning point for personal change. My counseling philosophy is built around the principle that understanding a patient in the context of the surroundings that influenced their development is elemental to the therapeutic process. I utilize an integrative approach, combining Behavioral, Interpersonal, and Psychoanalytic techniques. My ultimate goal is to support my patients in achieving a higher degree of contentment and satisfaction as they work towards their desired therapeutic goals.
I specialize in severe and persistent mental illness (major depressive disorder, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders), with a focus on mood disorders. However, I have had the opportunity to work with patients with a variety of mental health concerns in school-based, college mental health, and outpatient settings.
